Constitutive Act

On 27 April 1956 A.N.I.T.I. was established. as a national non-profit association of translators and interpreters. It was born with the name S.N.I.T.I., the Italian National Union of Translators and Interpreters. The coexistence of trade union and association purposes led to the change of name to A.N.I.T.-S.N.I.T.I. on January 1, 1958. Since 9 April 1978 the Association has assumed its current name of A.N.I.T.I.

Today A.N.I.T.I. is one of the largest professional associations of Italian translators and interpreters.
